Lecturer:
John Cianca, MD
John is a physiatrist in Houston, Texas. He has
a private, cash-based practice focusing on
musculoskeletal diagnosis and treatment. He
has board certifications in physical medicine and
rehabilitation, sports medicine and acupuncture.
He also has a RMSK certification in sonography. He is as an adjunct
associate professor in the departments of PM&R for the Baylor
College of Medicine and University of Texas Health Science Center.

Workshop Overview:
The workshop will consist of lecture and hands-on scanning with an emphasis on the shoulder
- Review positioning and examination protocol for ultrasound imaging of the shoulder
- Identify common shoulder pathology on ultrasound
- demonstrate hands-on scanning of shoulder
