Faculty: Doohi Lee, MD
Medical Director of Advanced Surgical Arts, Dr. Lee combines various aspects of his training in Surgery, Radiology and Regenerative Medicine to enhance patient treatments and clinical outcomes from a multi-factorial approach. In the area of Musculoskeletal (MSK) Ultrasound, Dr. Lee has taught internationally since 1990, and served as the first USA physician to introduce MSK Ultrasound to the Olympic Games in 1996. Working with NASA, Dr. Lee was a part of the research team to teach Astronauts who were on board the International Space Station.

 

dr-bouffardFaculty: Antonio Bouffard, MD
Dr. Antonio Bouffard, or Tony as his friends call him, is a Bone Radiologist embedded in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the Detroit Medical Center (DMC) in Detroit, MI. He is in charge of Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Ultrasound in the DMC Sports Medicine department, which takes care of 2 professional sports teams: the Detroit Tigers (Baseball) and the Detroit Red Wings (Ice Hockey).

 

 

dr-ramirezFaculty: Arnold Ramirez, MD
Dr. Ramirez trained in Family Medicine followed by Fellowship in Sports Medicine (both at Bayfront Medical Center, St. Petersburg, FL), where he has garnered extensive experience in Sports Medicine. He serves currently as Head Team Physician for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (since 2016) and Team Physician for the New York Yankees (since 2014).

 

 

Workshop Overview:
The workshop will consist of lectures and hands-on scanning with an emphasis on:

• Scanning techniques
• Patient positioning
• Image optimization
• Joint Identification with ultrasound needle guidance for injections
• Beginner, intermediate, and advanced stations for upper extremity (shoulder,
elbow, wrist) and lower extremity (hip, knee, ankle)
