Shoulder/Elbow

Lecturer:

Don Buford, MD, RMSK

Dr. Buford is a Board Certified Sports Medicine
Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in shoulder and
knee orthopedic surgery and orthobiologic
therapy (including PRP and stem cells). He is the
Director of The Dallas PRP and Stem Cell Institute –
bringing evidence based orthobiologics to patients with
musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Buford is also the Director of
Orthotalk a company that sponsors muscuskeletal ultrasound
training seminars for clinicians in all specalities. He is a former
baseball player with the Baltimore Orioles.

Workshop Overview:

The workshop will consist of lecture and hands-on scanning with an emphasis on the shoulder and elbow

• Understand positioning and examination protocol for ultrasound imaging of the shoulder and elbow
• Recognize normal sonographic anatomy of the shoulder and elbow
• Identify common shoulder and elbow pathology on ultrasound
• Demonstrate hands-on scanning of shoulder and elbow
